Invisalign
Invisalign clear aligners can help straighten minor to complex teeth misalignment. Clear aligners are orthodontic devices that are a transparent, plastic form of dental braces used to straighten teeth.
How long does it take?
The length of treatment can take on average 6 months, but this will be decided by the dentist depending on how complicated your case is. Most people feel a difference wearing Invisalign aligners after three months, and results are usually noticeable after six months.
How does the Invisalign process work?
Clear-aligner treatment involves your dentist taking a mould of your teeth, which is used to create a digital tooth scan. With this computerised model your dentist will decide a treatment plan to move your teeth from their current position to the position they need to be in to achieve your desired smile.

With this clear understanding and the computerised model your dentist will prescribe aligners which are then created for each stage. Each aligner is worn for 22 hours a day for one or two weeks at a time. These slowly move the teeth into the position agreed between you and your dentist.
How do I get my perfect smile?
For some patients straight teeth alone might not achieve their desired smile as the teeth may be worn down, misshapen or discoloured. At Wickham Dental Practice we also treat these other concerns, which can involve whitening to brighten your smile and composite bonding to build-up the tooth/teeth as necessary or sometimes just some minor adjustment to the shape of your tooth/teeth through dental contouring.

Fastbraces
For nearly 25 years, the American based Fastbraces have been making people’s teeth straighter and safer. Now in the UK! Teeth which grow in awkward positions can lead to gum disease as you grow older. With this type of brace, treatment is usually over within 120 days. In around 4 months, you can go from crooked teeth to a perfect smile. This benefits those who may want to get their smile ready for a big day, such as a wedding or photoshoot, whilst also offering all of the benefits for the rest of their lives too.

"I'd been thinking about having doing my teeth straightened for a few years but had been put off by various orthodontist and then a friend recommended Dr Lizzie Judson so I thought why not have a chat with her. When I spoke to Lizzie she took the time to listen to what I wanted to achieve, she also took the time to talk me through what I could expect to happen and suggested that I have some time to think things through before commiting to any treatment plan (it only took me a day). We arranged a day for scans & photos to establish whether my teeth were right for treatment (thankfully they were). Whilst every discussion we had was a joint discussion I relied on Lizzie to give me a balanced view based on her professional knowledge, which is exactly what she did - our discussions highlighted that fast braces would give me the best results (a number of my top teeth were mis-aligned - with a very crooked front tooth which to my surprise also impacted on the bottom row of my teeth - funny what shows up when your teeth are scanned). A month after my initial appointment my fast braces were fitted (quicker than I thought) and I had regular appointments (as per the treatment plan) for minor adjustments, maintenance, band fitting etc and to make sure that everything was going as it should - I'm pleased to say it was. Lizzie and the team looked after me so well each time I visited the practice (Emma always the reassuring arm - thank you) and I was given an out of hours number to call in case I had any issues - which I'm pleased to say I never used. It's also amazing when your wearing your braces and you can see your teeth slowly start to straighten.
My braces are now off and I won't forget when Emma handed me the mirror to show me my teeth I could have cried - they're so beautiful. I'm happy to smile properly now and don't worry about smiling. We provide fixed & clear braces to align teeth and correct bites. The Fast & affordable Fastbraces work well on teens, reducing the time in braces and the visits for parents!
We provide a free consult or phone call to answer your questions. A thorough examination is then carried out using digital technology & digital radiographs prior to treatment.
Payments are made monthly £250- £500 depending on complexity of the correction.
